Inspiring Scholars is a program for Butte College students who were in foster care after their 13th birthday and are under the age of 26. The goal of Inspiring Scholars is to help students get into college, stay in college, and reach their academic goals- be that a certificate, an associate's degree, or transfer to another college or university. We know that many students were let down by the foster care system. It is our goal to earn the trust of students by being easy to reach, quick in responding, and doing what we say we are going to do.
By getting involved with Inspiring Scholars, students can benefit from dedicated academic counseling, drop-in appointments, help with financial aid, community with other students who have been in foster care, mentoring, grants, and much more!
